Very nice park for an overnight stay, but not any longer than that. The sites are long and level, but uncomfortably close for us. The speed limit was ignored by seasonals and there were many. We'd stay again overnight only.

Very pricey, IMO for this park. Sites are short and relatively close. The office person told us we could "probably" leave the toad attached, but not really. All sand sites, uneven. Wi-Fi and cable were strong and the park was clean.

Yet another great COE campground! Super sites, right on the water. Good spacious sites, friendly hosts. Not much for kids and no sewer. We really enjoy COE campgrounds. Rate reflects America Beautiful pass.

Nice park, owners, and guests very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi is iffy. We stayed 3 days and enjoyed it, we will return.

Nice CG, but a little more maintainer would be nice on the roads. Some very small trees and limbs need to be trimmed to allow larger units in without scraping the limbs/branches. The sites are great, mostly level, grass, good setup for utilities, friendly, just need some road work.

We stayed one night traveling home from South Carloina. Nice level site, but a bit close to our neighbor. Most of the sites were level and occupied by seasonals and what appeared to be workers from out of state. The manager was helpful and friendly, but the price is a little high for an overnight in February. We would stop again.

This is a tough park to rate, at least for us. We wanted just overnight and it was okay, site level, not much road noise, but rather seedy. There are no facilites so you must be self contained which we are. I guess it served the purpose for a stop over, but I'd never want to stay there for more than an overnight.

We stayed here for two months and it was tremendous. Of course, fine weather is a plus, but the park really has no deficiencies. The sites are all cement pads, level, mostly shade, good spacing, paved roads and a very friendly management team. Our neighbors were also great and enjoyed the games we played with them. The pool was closed at this time of year and kid activities are limited because most are in school! A great place and we shall return.

We stopped for an overnight enroute south. The price,$42, is pretty heavy to stop for an overnight in January. The place is full of permanent and seasonal campers. The office people were very nice, but cannot see paying that money for a few hours.

We stopped here for an overnight headed south. A great deal for those headed south. Very easy in/out off I-95, very nice, level pull through sites. The campground is new, thus landscaping is incomplete and shrubs/trees are immature. The park is very well laid out, and the manager is helpful and friendly. This is certainly a spot we'd stop again and stay awhile.

We came in off the highway and what a pleasant surprise. We were escorted to our site, provided with maps of the area and directed to a service shop. I needed to have the rig serviced and what a great find that was. Done in 90 minutes at a reasonable price, thanks to the CG management. We got a pull thru site, level, grassy, shade and right next to the laundry. Good space between sites. We'd stay awhile the next time we come thru.

I would give this cg a higher rating if more sites were level or close to it. We used 4 2"x8" PT planks on the front end and were STILL not level. Other than that, no complaints. Clean facility, helpful attendants, quiet setting, good neighbors. Space between some sites a little close, but with good people, that's okay with us.

Overall a very nice CG with great friendly hosts. The only negative to us is the closeness of the sites and the degree of difficulty getting into some sites. Otherwise, just great. Showers and rest rooms among the best we've experienced

Excellent CG if you don't have kids and want lots to do at the CG. Nothing to do there, but lots of history in the area, Vicksburg being the best. Level sites, grassy areas, some shade, quiet and very pleasant hosts, employees. If they had WiFi, it's a 10. Showers and bathrooms clean, little old but good. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

This is a very nice CG for the purpose it serves. It is not a destination CG, but as advertised, it's for overnight stays. Great level sites, some shade, good sized sites, easy in/out and easy on/off the freeway. Nothing fancy, just good accommodations. Noise from the highways is not bad and the occasional USAF jet that flies over is more comforting than annoying. A great stop for overnight.

As mentioned earlier, this is a rustic campground, which is fine with us. However, the sites are laid out very oddly, which compresses the pass between sites. A little work on the sites are leveling purposes would get this a higher rating from me.

This a difficult CG for us to review. It has a great location with just terrific views. It's in a solid location to see the area, the sites are level, a tad tight but not bad. The downside is the area it's in. A truck/equipment junkyard next door and kids on motor bikes are annoying. The trees are not yet mature, but this place has potential. Not sure if we'd stay again, but not all bad.

Great views of the Sandia mountains, quiet CG and a nice place to stay for touring the area. The hookups are a little strange, just need long water hose. Dump station on the way out is very convenient. The management is very friendly and helpful. Some seasonals that have been there a while with sites not in clean shape, but all in all, a place we'd come back to. Sites are level and good sized and each site has a nice shelter from the sun and weather.

This a Corps of Engineers (COE) campground part of the Lake Sutton facility. This is 14 miles into the woods until you get to a very nice campground. However, the roads leading to the campground are very narrow, steep and winding. Our 31' C was at the max of size in my opinion. Level sites, waterfront, great bathhouses, friendly people, but oh those roads getting in. Use care if you go

We spent a very enjoyable 4 days here, despite the downpours the first two days. We were in a new site and certainly needs some work, but overall a very nice site. A little work getting level, but not bad. Some privacy between neighbors, but also allowed for friendly conversation. Park owners and staff very helpful and pleasant. Rough roads were tended to immediately after the storms passed through. Many seasonals, most were very friendly. We certainly would return. However, this is a campground not an RV resort, so not for everyone. Some may not like the rustic flavor of this campground

Wonderful campground! Route 30 is close, but road noise not a problem for us. Very clean, staff is attentive to the park, the bathrooms were immaculate. The campers were exceptionally friendly. We camped in the new back section. The trees are not yet mature, but when they are it's a 10. Will return many times to see a beautiful area.

Great place to use as a base to explore the Blue Ridge and surrounding area. We had a shaded site, but there were certainly sites in the open, if you wish. Roads are paved, sites pretty level, very friendly hosts and campers. Just a real nice spot. Nothing for kids except what's in the area.

Great campground, if you like quiet, waterfront with just the fish jumping! We stayed one night enroute to Blue Ridge, but would have liked to explore Thurmond Lake more. Maybe next time. Don't bring the kids unless they love to fish.

The best part of this campground is the ease in locating it off I-81. The sites, while large, are not very level. Some of the water pipes are broke, as are some of the electric hookups. A little maintenance would really make this a great spot. Being a County facility, I'm not sure the level of funding it receives. It was quiet until one of several trains motored thru! That's annoying, but acceptable. Looked like there were a fair number of seasonals, but no rundown units. Good place for a stop over enroute to someplace else.

Campground is run by the County; the employees could take some lessons in being more helpful and the younger employees do not display any sense of work ethic. Therefore, the campground is not as good as it could be. The dirt roads create a lot of dust by the speeding County vehicles. The sites however are great. Excellent size, privacy yet friendly between sites. Easy to move around the campground. Wi-Fi spotty at sites, but great at office or another pavilion. Kids would be okay if swimming, fishing to keep them happy. We would stay again, but would also explore what else is in the area.

We stayed at this great campground for four nights while visiting Charleston. It is easy to locate and real easy to navigate the paved roads. The sites are level, good sized, privacy between sites and friendly staff/guests. I can't think of a negative at all. There is even a " beach" for dogs, and while we don't bring ours, it was fun to watch them romp in the water. We plan to return for a longer stay in this area and will definitely stay here.

A fine State Park; easy to find, easy to park in the pull-thru sites, spacious and privacy. Very much in touch nature, if that's what you like. No action for kids, just a nice campground in the woods.

Very quiet campground, friendly people, owner very busy helping campers. The owners are conscious of environment and the need to protect it. We found this to be a great place for adults who want quiet and friendly neighbors. Not at all for kids.
